Comment disappears when clicking space in quick capture

I use the keyboard shortcuts a lot when using quick capture, but I've found that when adding a comment, the moment I click space it closes the comment completely. For example, when saving a link, I'd SHIFT+CMD+C, then l (for link), tab into the comment icon, press enter, and begin typing - as soon as I press the spacebar the comment popup hides and the url get's selected and highlighted.
